Create a Beachy Bathroom Using Specialty Thai Silk Mulberry Papers

You can use specialty papers in some amazing ways to spice up your home decor. (If you'd like to see more wild & wonderful ideas on how to use handmade & specialty papers, sign up for our monthly Artsy Tipsheet!)

At our home we have a small bathroom that’s been redecorated lots of times over the years in the usual way – new paint, wallpaper, fixtures,… It’s always looked better but never very exciting.

This year, we decided to try something really different. Using only specialty Thai silk mulberry papers and diluted all purpose white glue to collage directly on the walls, we’re going to transform our ordinary little bathroom into a unique West Coast beach scene complete with a turquoise seaside bath/pool grotto.

Have a look at this closeup of our first step - the ceiling over the bathtub done with a combination of 3 colours of Thai Marbled Momi. Then follow our project to see how we do the rest of it...
